A Los Angeles Senior Session with Micah Max Polaha!

Eighteen years ago I did a Los Angeles Newborn Photography Session with this sweet little boy and here we are doing his senior photo session. I can’t believe it! He has grown into such a sweet, talented, and incredibly inspirational young man. I love these senior sessions because these kiddos are just so young, eager, excited, and full of dreams and aspirations…their whole lives are ahead of them. This guy is going big places and has already written, directed, and acted in short films.

Posing for senior boy photography can be tough and somewhat limited but if you have a good wardrobe, props, and great locations, it is certainly much easier. Here is a really cool series we did with his truck.

There is nothing like a really cool suit in some strange locations to give you cool, edgy vibes.

Micah had a super cool bomber jacket. Paired that with great jeans and a simple white shirt, this was a winning combination! He loved this area in the Santa Monica mountains that had been burned recently so the stark black sticks and ground were very striking.

Micah wanted to emulate some awesome shots that Brad Pitt did when he was younger with vintage cameras. We had a lot of fun with this. The peacoat he brought added so much to these shots as well, wardrobe is SO important! Adding one accessory or piece can change this whole vibe. Look how he added an American Flag blanket to some of the shots too.
